Sabrina M. Strickland, MD

Dr. Strickland specializes in Sports Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery where she treats orthopedic conditions of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle. She completed her residency and fellowship (specializing in Sports Medicine) at Hospital for Special Surgery after completing medical school at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s. Prior to that, Dr. Strickland received her B.S. from Cornell University. Currently, Dr. Strickland is Chief of Orthopedics at the Bronx Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center as well as an Assistant Professor of orthopaedic surgery at Cornell Weill School of Medicine. Dr. Strickland is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Strickland’s research has focused on ACL injuries in women as well as rotator cuff repair and shoulder instability. Prior to pursuing her medical career, Dr. Strickland was a ski instructor and now enjoys recreational tennis, travel, and spending time with her husband and three young daughters.
