Personal Fitness Profile
In this one hour appointment, you will receive a thorough evaluation of your overall fitness. Your aerobic capacity, flexibility, strength, body composition, and general movement patterns will be assessed. A follow-up Performance Plan training session or series of training sessions are recommended.

Body Composition Analysis (Skinfold Caliper or DEXA)
Body composition assessment by skinfold  measurement determines your percent body fat and total fat mass versus fat free mass of your body. A DEXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) scan will give you a more detailed analysis of your body composition, measuring regional (arms, trunks, and legs) as well as total body % fat, fat mass, bone mass, and lean mass. A doctor's prescription is required for DEXA.

Caloric Expenditure Profile
This test determines how many calories you burn at different levels of exertion, which can be used in designing an effective training and weight loss plan.

Efficiency Profile
This test will measure how many calories you burn at a given pace as well as percentages of carbohydrates and fats being used. You will also learn your individual “cost” in terms of oxygen to work at a given pace. This data will help determine whether your current form is efficient while helping you identify training and nutritional strategies to meet your energy needs and maximize your metabolic efficiency.

Lactate Profile
Lactate is an important marker for your tolerance for high intensity exercise. Your lactate level is determined by small fingerstick blood samples at each stage of exercise (either on a bike or treadmill) of gradually increasing intensity. Your lactate profile will be correlated with your heart rate, rate of perceived exertion (RPE), cadence and speed or power at each stage of exercise. Physiological Testing is done using a Parvo Medics True One metabolic cart, the gold standard in metabolic testing.

Resting Metabolic Rate
This test determines your resting caloric expenditure, which you can use as the basis of your nutrition plan.

VO2 Max
VO2 Max (aka Maximum Oxygen Consumption or Aerobic Capacity) is a measure of the maximum amount of oxygen your body can take in and use for physical work. VO2 Max is an important indicator of your ability to perform vigorous physical activity. Your maximum oxygen consumption has a large genetic component but may be increased by certain types of training.

Wingate Power Testing
This 30 second cycling test measures your anaerobic "sprinting" ability.
