Cerebral palsy (CP) is a disorder marked by impaired muscular mobility, including spasticity, crouch gait, or toe walking. Caused by brain damage at or before birth, the disorder can slow speech and learning processes as well as physical movement.
Treatment of CP can range from bracing, to rehabilitation, to orthopedic surgery, including muscle / tendon lengthening and osteotomy – such as varus rotational osteotomy (VRO).
